Brightstar Lottery has expanded its reach in Canada, taking one of its flagship draw games products live with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

OLG has taken Brightstar’s Cash Pop draw-based game live as part of its product portfolio, becoming the first lottery operator in Canada to offer the game.

The game features five daily draws. It has been made customisable, with players able to tailor their play experience while the game also features multiple price points.

The Cash Pop game features five daily draws and provides players with multiple price points and opportunities to customize their play experience.

“Introducing Brightstar’s Cash Pop game in Ontario allows OLG to bring a proven, innovative game to players while continuing to evolve our lottery portfolio,” said Andrew Darley, OLG Vice President, Lottery Product.

“As the first lottery jurisdiction in Canada to offer the Cash Pop game, we’re excited to expand player choice with a unique draw-based game while continuing to give back to communities across Ontario.”

The partnership shores up Brightstar’s (formerly IGT’s) position in the Canadian lottery sector, a hugely valuable space divided between the five provincial Crown Corporations, which includes OLG.

Canada’s lottery space has been changing in recent years, however, with the launch of multi-licence betting and iGaming markets in Ontario and Alberta. Both B2C and B2B corporations find themselves navigating this new landscape, Brightstar included.

Nonetheless, the rollout of Cash Pop with OLG is another win for Brightstar, coming off the back of a series of deals signed in October with the New York Lottery, OLG, and Spain’s Organización Nacional de Ciegos Espanoles (ONCE).

“We’re thrilled to introduce our proprietary Cash Pop game to Ontario through this partnership with OLG,” said Scott Gunn, Brightstar Chief Operating Officer North America.

“The game’s innovative format has resonated with players across multiple jurisdictions, and we look forward to supporting OLG as it continues delivering engaging lottery experiences.”
