Brightstar Lottery is establishing itself as the supplier of choice for themed lottery products.

The firm’s latest partnership is with Pan American World Airways LLC. The firm will develop and distribute omni-channel lottery tickets themed around the historic Pan American airline brand.

Pan Am was once one of the largest airlines in the US, serving flights domestically and internationally. The airline would ultimately close down in 1991, with Pan American World Airways LLC maintaining its brand and assets.

There are rumours of a comeback, however, with the company looking at resuming commercial airline operations. Distributing branded lottery tickets and products could fall in line with this ambition.

“Pan Am is one of the most recognisable names in travel, and we’re excited to partner with Brightstar to bring our brand to the lottery category,” said Craig Carter, Chief Executive Officer of Pan Am Global Holdings.

“Through this partnership, players will have new opportunities to engage with the Pan Am brand through games and promotions inspired by our legacy of connecting people, places, and cultures around the world.”

Brightstar’s services to Pan Am will include production of instant tickets, draw-based games, and iLottery games. The duo will also work together to award travel opportunities to lottery players and winners of second chance promotions.

Themed games are becoming one of Brightstar’s forte products. Earlier this year, the firm struck a deal with Sony Pictures, extending a long-running association with the entertainment company and enabling it to continue making games themed around the Ghostbusters franchise.

Matthew Whalen, Brightstar Senior Vice President, Global Instant Ticket Services, said: “Pan Am is a globally recognised brand that has inspired generations to see the world, and Brightstar is excited to translate that enduring legacy into compelling experiences for lottery players to enjoy.

“Through this partnership, players will have access to engaging lottery offerings and unique second-chance promotions inspired by the Pan Am brand, including customised travel packages, VIP access, and white-glove journeys tailored to a range of destinations and budgets.”
