The Oklahoma Lottery Commission (OLC) has got its digital lottery ambitions off the ground with the on-time launch of its new online ecosystem.
Last summer, the OLC announced its intention to create and launch a digital ecosystem for the Oklahoma Lottery, with the timeline set for September 2026.
The platform has been enabled via two third-party deals, one with Pollard Banknote and its playON engagement solution, and one with Bloomreach, which supports CRM.
The Commission has set up what it calls a “more intuitive, mobile-first experience” for the lottery’s players, with enhanced reward earning capabilities across draw games, scratch tickets, and fast play products.
The new platform includes a loyalty program, the Players Club, encompassing engagement tools like surveys, polls, quizzes, and other interactive experiences.
Both the lottery and state hope that this will boost customer engagement, ticket sales – and therefore state revenues.
Since selling its first ticket in 2005, the Oklahoma Lottery has raised $1.47bn (£1.09bn) for state education initiatives.
“Our goal was to create a digital experience that feels easier, more rewarding and more relevant for Oklahoma Lottery players,” said Abby Morgan, Director of Marketing and Product Development, Oklahoma Lottery Commission.
“The new Players Club gives players more ways to engage with us while giving our team new opportunities to create experiences that are personalized, timely and fun.
“Most importantly, this gives us a platform we can continue to build on as the way players interact with the Lottery evolves.”
Pollard’s role in the digital ecosystem’s development comes after a plethora of deals signed by the company over the past year, including renewals with long-term clients and partnerships with new ones.
The year so far has seen the company signed as a product partner of the Colorado Lottery, while leadership sees its deals with the California Lottery and Belgian national lottery as particularly important for future business performance.
“Delivering a program of this scope on schedule takes strong planning, disciplined execution, and operational readiness on both sides, and the Oklahoma Lottery’s team has been exceptional to work with,” said Shannon DeHaven, Senior Vice President of Digital Engagement, Pollard Banknote.
“At Pollard, we believe a great digital lottery is a great retail lottery. The Oklahoma Lottery has made a strategic investment in modern digital tools that support retail sales while enhancing the player experience.”
