WLA issues EveryMatrix with latest security accreditation

EveryMatrix has been issued its latest certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA), securing the global body’s Security Control Standard 2020 (WLA-SCS:2020) Level 2.

The Malta-based B2B supplier underwent an audit conducted by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), assessing its sportsbook, iGaming and iLottery business divisions.

As ‘no non-conformities’ were found, the firm was able to secure the certification, which includes 21 controls for lottery technology suppliers, incorporating the use of cloud hosting for gaming systems and controls for privacy and application security.

“Security is a top priority for EveryMatrix and achieving compliance with this rigorous standard is proof of our commitment to our existing and future WLA customers,” said Ebbe Groes, EveryMatrix CEO.

EveryMatrix is currently a supplier to several prominent lottery operators, all members of the WLA and/or the European Lotteries (EL).

These include Norway’s Norsk TIpping, Greece’s OPAP, the Maltese National Lottery, Finland’s Veikkaus and most recently Hungary’s Szerencsejáték, the latter described by the firm as ‘one of the largest contracts in its 15-year history’.

Part of its service to some of these state-backed lottery companies is provision of sports betting services, which Frank Cecchini, group Head of Lottery Sales, and Ivan Rozic, OddsMatrix Head of Sales, discussed with SBC Media earlier this year.

“Working with lotteries is a special skill, and something we’ve been building since winning our first contract with Norsk Tipping in 2015,” Cecchini commented.

“You need to know how they work, and it can be challenging, but the investments we’ve made are beginning to pay off.”

The addition of WLA-SCS:2020 Level 2 certification to EveryMatrix’s trophy cabinet follows Malta-based B2B firms gaining the ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards concerning security, quality, reliability, and customer service.
