The Florida Lottery has enhanced its portfolio with the release of a new family of holiday-themed scratch-off games.
Titled ‘Florida X the Cash’, the scratch-off games feature more than $437m in total cash prizes, with tickets ranging in price from $1 to $10.
Florida X the Cash is already available at all lottery retailers as the Florida Lottery targets exponential growth.
Three drawings will be held between November 15 and January 3, when a total of 300 winners will be selected.
Florida X the Cash joins the ‘Florida 300X the Cash’ game that launched in September while, earlier this year, the Florida Lottery released a new family of scratch-off games themed on the board game Monopoly – called Monopoly Doubler – after agreeing on a deal with games designer Hasbro.
The Florida Lottery added on its website that scratch-off games ‘are an important part of the lottery’s portfolio of games’, comprising approximately 72% of ticket sales and generating more than $1.6bn for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2022-23.
The prior fiscal year saw the Florida Lottery record-breaking sales of $9.3bn, $370.3m (2.8%) higher than first forecast, despite a ‘slowdown’ in play during the second half of the year.
