Jackpocket has entered its 14th US state, bringing its online lottery app to West Virginia as the record-breaking Powerball jackpot fuels excitement across the country.

The third-party lottery app will now allow players in West Virginia to place ticket orders for several draws including Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto America, Cash 25, Daily 3, and Daily 4.

Players will benefit from online purchasing whilst the app also allows players to view an image of their ticket and receive a notification upon winning. Any prizes up to $600 will automatically be sent to players for claiming from the West Virginia Lottery.

Jackpocket is entering West Virginia when the Powerball draw is entering the proverbial stratosphere, hitting $1.9bn over the weekend with nobody winning the top prize in the latest draw.

“We’re excited to offer West Virginians a new way to participate in a record Powerball drawing,” said Jackpocket CEO and Founder Peter Sullivan. “Jackpocket’s mission is to make the lottery more accessible and convenient to play.

“Lottery players have won over $200m in prizes so far on Jackpocket, and we can’t wait to meet our first big winner in The Mountain State.”

Marking its entry, the app is offering a free lottery ticket to all new players, who will receive a $2 ticket by using the code ‘WEST’ within the Jackpocket app.

Jackpocket has made noted that 22 individual players have won over $1m on its platform, with two players winning over $1m in the Powerball drawing on November 2.
