Florida Lottery launches new Monopoly-themed games

Florida Lottery has released a new family of scratch-off games themed on the board game Monopoly after agreeing on a deal with games designer Hasbro.

Named Monopoly Doubler, the five new games offer over $851m in cash prizes, including top prizes of $10,000 to $5m. 

Monopoly Doubler features five games that vary in price from $1 to $20, vary in odds and prize amount, and are as follows: 

The $20 Monopoly Doubler game features more than $493 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $5m and has overall odds of winning are one-in-3.02.

The $10 game, $2,000,000 Bonus Cashword, launched in May and features eight top prizes of $2m and 20 second-tier prizes of $100,000. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-3.12.

The $5 Monopoly Doubler game features more than $132m in cash prizes, including 12 top prizes of $1m and contains overall odds of winning are one-in-3.98.

The $2 Monopoly Doubler game features more than $37m in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $100,000. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.39.

Finally, the $1 Monopoly Doubler game features more than $11m in cash prizes, including 68 top prizes of $10,000 and has overall odds of winning are one-in-4.92.

The Florida Lottery states that scratch games are ‘an important part of the lottery’s portfolio of games’ and make up around 75% of total ticket sales in the fiscal year 2020/21. Scratch-off games also raised $1.3bn for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
