Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML), the National Lottery of Portugal, has signed a new iLottery agreement with Aristocrat Interactive.

The three-year deal builds up on what has been a partnership going over 13 years. By putting pen to paper, SCML will continue to have full access to Aristocrat’s complete NeoGames Studio portfolio of eInstant games.

Chris Shaban, Managing Director of Aristocrat Interactive iLottery, commented: “This new agreement underscores the continued success of our long-standing work with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. Together, we will continue to deliver high-performing content that resonates with players, driving long-term value for SCML’s continued digital growth.”

With the new deal now signed, Aristocrat maintains a high exposure across Europe’s iLottery domain, with a total of 18 markets already being supplied or scheduled to be supplied with content from NeoGames Studio.

Adding on to the development, Dr. Ricardo Lavos, General Manager of the Games Department of SCML, said: “Our extension with Aristocrat Interactive reflects the strong appreciation Portuguese players have for NeoGames Studio high quality eInstant content.

“The titles we have at our disposal have been a key driver of our digital offering, and we have full confidence in Aristocrat Interactive’s ability to continue delivering modern, responsible, and engaging experiences that meet our players’ expectations.”

The acquisition of NeoGames in 2024 further strengthened Aristocrat’s activities in the North American lottery space in particular.

The North American lottery sector is a highly competitive where the Australian firm finds itself going up against the likes of Brightstar, Bally’s Intralot and Pollard Baknote, among others.

Notable partners secured by the company include the Massachusetts State Lottery, which signed a five year deal late last year.

The 2024 acquisition of the aforementioned NeoGames may also help Aristocrat stand out from the crowd, giving it a solid iGaming pedigree at a time when US state lotteries are contending with an ever growing regulated betting and gaming market.
