Scientific Games has appointed Rich Wasserman as its new Senior VP of Product Engineering.
Wasserman boasts over 20 years of experience in senior roles spanning across engineering, data science and product organisation at various fast-scaling technology companies.
At Facebook and Amazon, he supervised large-scale projects driven by advanced analytics and machine learning. His most recent role was VP of Engineering and Data Science at Stitch Fix – leveraging his Computer Science degree and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
His expertise will help Scientific Games maintain its status as a fast-growing lottery systems technology provider, as it continues to invest in technology and talent to scale lottery retail and digital operations.
As part of the company, Wasserman will lead the product engineering team to further develop Scientific Games’ product portfolio that serves partnering lotteries, enhancing hardware and software innovation capabilities while optimising long-term value.
Pat McHugh, CEO of Scientific Games, commented: “We’re excited to add Rich’s deep technical expertise scaling innovative, AI-driven platforms at world-class organizations to further strengthen Scientific Games’ technology leadership.
“As we continue investing in innovation and analytics across retail and digital lottery solutions, his experience and leadership will help us deliver the next generation of high-performance products that drive sustainable growth for our lottery customers worldwide.”
Wasserman is the latest addition to Scientific Games’ product development team. Recently, the company welcomed Ovie Doro as its Senior VP President of Data, Analytics and AI to further strengthen global lottery operations.
Strategic hires like these have helped Scientific Games become one of the most prominent lottery technology providers, especially in the US where it holds contracts across Florida, Delaware, Arkansas, North Dakota, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, and more.
