International Game Technology (IGT) has signed an agreement with the B2B arm of France’s Française des Jeux (FDJ), FDJ Gaming Solutions France (FGS).

The London-headquartered group’s IGT Global Services Limited has inked the agreement with the French state-backed firm, with a cross-licensing agreement granting both companies access to each other’s suite of einstant games.

This will see IGT deliver its einstant products to FDJ, which operates the French National Lottery, whilst IGT-operated Italian instant tickets and draw-based games provider Lotterie Nazionali Srl will benefit from FGS titles.

Pascal Blyau, FDJ Vice President, B2B, said: “This cross-licensing content agreement with IGT is an exciting step for FGS as we look to further expand our footprint across Europe and provide the most compelling eInstant games to the players of La Française des Jeux in France.

“As the leader in global lottery, IGT has a wide variety of top-performing, award-winning content that will enhance our current offering so players can continue enjoying the ultimate lottery playing experiences.”

IGT is an international firm with a listing on the NYSE and 25 lottery clients in the US,

but maintains significant interests in Europe, both in Italy via its operation of the aforementioned Italian lottery but also with a range of B2B contracts.

Notable European clients of the company include Sweden’s Svenska Spel and Germany’s West-Lotto and the Loterie Nationale Belgium (LNB), all of which renewed their arrangements this year, the latter of which being the most recent.

“Italy and France are home to two of the most sophisticated and successful lotteries in the world, operated by IGT and FDJ Group respectively,” remarked Srini Nedunuri, IGT Senior Vice President, Global iLottery.

“Our agreement with FGS reflects a commitment to delivering premier eInstant games and responsible iLottery experiences to millions of lottery players in these two countries and offers a gateway for deploying additional world-class content.”
