Evolution puts North America first with BCLC Mega Ball deal

The British Columbia Lottery Company (BCLC) has moved to expand and enhance its product range, signing an agreement with games developer Evolution.

Evolution’s Mega Ball – a game show product with a live presenter – is the core focus of the agreement, which will be integrated into BCLC’s online game portfolio on the PlayNow.com platform.

The duo builds on a previous partnership between the operator and supplier, which began with the notable milestone of launching the first regulated live casino back when Evolution opened its first studio back in 2018.

“We believe the interactive features and exciting mechanics of Mega Ball will be an instant hit among PlayNow.com players,” said Dan Beebe, Chief Operating Officer at BCLC.

“This is another layer of excitement we get to add to PlayNow.com’s portfolio, as we continue our strategic focus to provide players with a truly authentic and entertaining online gambling experience.”

Further expanding the producer’s reach in North America, the Canadian provincial lottery operator becomes the first Evolution client on the continent to launch Mega Ball from a studio based there, specifically the firm’s Vancouver location.

Evolution’s activities throughout Canada have seen the company strengthen its links with different provincial lotteries, such as signing an agreement with Loto-Quebec last year which integrated Dual Play live gaming tables into the firm’s product range.

More recent events on a wider international scale have seen Evolution extend its partnership with Flutter Entertainment’s Sky Bet brand, agreeing to provide its entire live casino service to the online sportsbook and gaming firm.

Jeff Millar, Chief Commercial Officer of North America at Evolution, remarked: “Our partnership with BCLC has continued to grow successfully, and the addition of Mega Ball to its vast portfolio is another milestone in our road of cooperation.

“Mega Ball is uniquely suited for North American lotteries, and we’re delighted to be providing it to BCLC and look forward to future developments.”
