The World Lottery Association (WLA) has signed up its newest Associate Member this week in the form of geolocation and fraud prevention company GeoComply.
Counting several WLA member lotteries among its customers, GeoComply provides diverse markets with geolocation for anti-fraud solutions in numerous industries, in particular gaming.
The firm’s fraud prevention tools exploit the power of the device-level data gained from its market-leading geolocation technology, providing a 360-degree picture that protects against fake account creations, promotions or bonus abuse, account takeovers, stolen identities, money laundering, and more.
Commenting on its WLA membership, Co-Founder and CEO Anna Sainsbury said: “Our mission is to make the internet a safer place for everyone, and we are thrilled to support the lottery sector, which shares our values and a commitment to responsible gambling and good causes.”
The WLA now lists 74 Associate Members on its website, with Vancouver-based GeoComply becoming the 14th based in North America.
Luca Esposito, WLA Executive Director, added: “As online gaming continues to grow, services provided by GeoComply help our industry to protect consumers against identity theft, support lotteries to prevent fraud, while promoting a responsible industry.
“We are delighted to welcome GeoComply to the WLA family.”
