The New York Lottery will continue to work side-by-side with long-time business partners IGT after the finalisation of a new four-year deal with its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation.

This fresh agreement extends the current contract to August 2026, a year which will mark the 40th anniversary of the partnership between the two organisations.

As part of the extension, IGT will launch a new claims and payments system.

IGT will also continue to provide the New York Lottery with its lottery central system and related technology, retailer training, field services, call centre support, instant ticket warehousing and distribution, and upgrades to the infrastructure.

“IGT has built a trusted partnership with the New York Lottery since 1986,” commented Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer of Global Lottery.

“For more than 35 years, we have worked collaboratively with the lottery to deliver world-class, innovative solutions for retailers and players alike.”

This is the latest in a long line of new deals and contract extensions agreed by IGT this year, who recently agreed a deal ‘in principle’ to settle the multi-million dollar ‘Benson v. DoubleDown’ lawsuit.

Other notable deals completed in the past months include an agreement with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) to debut its new lottery terminal in Lisbon, Portugal, and a decade-long agreement with the Kansas Lottery to bolster its electronic gaming central system.
