The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has shared its insights into the regulatory processes as it hosted Malawi National Lottery delegates for talks.
Requested by Malawi Gambling Board and National Lotteries Board (MGBNLB), the talks were designed to share industry knowledge and best practices when it comes to gambling regulations.
MGA gave the Malwai delegates a tour of its offices, with the two parties engaged in talks over two days last week over the structure of gambling regulation.
Sharing best practices to increase the strength of regulation globally, the MGA made several presentations including an overview of the licensing and compliance processes, criminal probity assessments, Anti-Money Laundering supervision processes, and the utilisation of a risk-based approach to regulation.
Finally, MGA gave MGBNLB executives a tour of land-based establishments, providing further insights into the sector.
Kinga Warda, Chief Officer for Policy & International Affairs said, “We welcome opportunities to share our knowledge and expertise with regulators who are reviewing or coming up with their regulatory frameworks.
“These visits are the ideal platform for knowledge-sharing, mutual collaboration, and discussions. We have a unique opportunity to shape the gaming regulation worldwide and share our know-how.”
