The UAE Lottery is continuing to expand its product range, this time doubling its weekly Lucky Day draw from occurring once a week to twice a week.

Lucky Day, which is the organisation’s main game, will now occur on both Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the Grand Prize of AED 30m (£6.16m) and Second Prize of AED 5m both available twice a week. Entry prices are still set at AED 50, while ticket sales will be open till 8pm rather than 7pm on the day of the draws.

It comes as the organisation continues to grow in the UAE, having only launched back in November 2024. Since then, it has recorded more than 800,000 registered players across the country and has paid out over AED 175m in prizes.

The high popularity of The UAE Lottery has been driven by the business strategically setting up in three different locations – Jebel Ali, Business Bay and Al Quoz. Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game, which runs The UAE Lottery, told the Khaleej Times that the three offer a combined “diverse foundation to continue growing presence”.

The UAE Lottery’s rapid expansion

The expansion of Lucky Day comes just over six months on from the introduction of Pick 4, which offers players the chance to win prizes of up to AED 25,000 for AED 5 per entry.

Another progressive step made by The Game came just last month, when it obtained Level 2 certification under the World Lottery Association’s (WLA) Responsible Gaming Framework, becoming the only licensed lottery operator in the UAE to achieve the certification.

It also arrives as the UAE looks to position itself as a prominent hub for iGaming in the Middle East, despite restrictions in cultural and religious regions.

Despite lottery being the primary gaming vertical in the country, the eCommerce market is continuing to grow, which could make room for even more expansion in the iGaming space in the UAE.
