SG keeps silver screen product range with Warner Bros renewal

Scientific Games (SG) has secured access to a continued stream of branded titles for retail and lotteries by extending its agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.

This enables the company to produce titles based on a range of prominent films and TV series, including Elf, Caddyshack, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz and Friends.

Atlanta-based SG has been placing a heavy emphasis on licensed branded games, having recorded retail sales of $2.7bn from the products in the 2022 fiscal year. The company evaluates the popularity of brands using the Power Index, measuring the ‘liking’ of a series or film.

The renewal of SG’s partnership with Warner Bros comes shortly after the launch of its latest branded game, Game of Thrones, themed around the popular HBO fantasy series.

The new title will be launched both in the US and internationally, and consists of instant scratch games, Fast Play and digital lottery games.
