Lotto.com has announced its expansion into three new states – New York, Texas and Colorado – as the digital lottery ticket platform bids to capitalise on an ‘immense opportunity’.

The firm first launched in New Jersey in June 2021, selling official state lottery tickets without the requirement for players to download an app or put down a deposit on any device – the first platform of its kind.

Lotto.com offers popular, large jackpot games like Powerball and Mega Millions, the latter of which has recently made headline news after its jackpot of $1.34bn was won, netting huge ticket sales in the process.

“Given the current lottery frenzy with the billion-dollar Mega Millions jackpot, this expansion comes at the perfect time,” said Thomas Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com.

“The opportunity to launch three new states this year is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. We see an immense opportunity to connect with new lottery players, both virtually and in-person, across New York, Texas and Colorado.

“2022 is by no means over, and we expect to launch Lotto.com in additional states before the end of the year!”

Lotto.com, which last year received an Internet Responsible Gambling Compliance Assessment Programme (iCAP) certification for its responsible gambling efforts, also recently developed Players Cafe, a modern convenience store that is a one-stop shop for lottery tickets, coffee, scratch-offs and more in cooperation with small local businesses.
