IGT has signed a new multi-year contract with La Lotería Nacional (LOTENAL) to lend its lottery and sports betting expertise to the Mexican company.

This latest agreement will see IGT offer a wide range of services to Mexico’s national lottery via its subsidiaries, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, IGT Mexico Lottery and IGT SME.

Running until 30 September, 2024, IGT has pledged to provide an integrated draw-based and instant ticket central system, lottery terminals, a communications network and ongoing marketing services such as research and game planning.

In addition, IGT will print instant ticket sales and provide all instant-related marketing consulting services to bolster the lottery’s sales.

Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer, commented: “IGT’s successful partnership with LOTENAL spans three decades, and within that time frame, we have generated positive sales results to benefit many good causes throughout the country.

“The addition of IGT’s trading advisory services and instant ticket printing as part of the latest contract, along with IGT’s advanced technology, will continue to be key drivers of the lottery’s progression.”

The move is just the latest deal to be completed by IGT, which has recently signed multi-year deals with the Missouri Lottery, Rhode Island Lottery and Lotto Baden-Württemberg, expanding its instant ticket and retail operations.

IGT subsidiaries will provide lottery game transactions and instant ticket distribution across 8,400 terminals in Mexico. The firm is also committed to the ongoing development of new B2B retail channels, hotline management, a fixed-odds sports betting retail network, and much more.

“LOTENAL has been evolving over the last few years, and this new contract with IGT ensures that we continue providing our players with the highest-quality and most engaging products,” added Mario Caballero Luna, LOTENAL Coordinator of Advisors.

“We trust that IGT’s industry leadership along with its top-performing technology will serve us well in the coming years.”
