IGT expands instant ticket operation with Lotto Baden-Württemberg

German igaming firm Mernov has enlisted the help of data science firm Neccton to power its CSR and player protection systems by utilising its ‘mentor’ software

International Game Technology (IGT) has agreed to a multi-year deal with Lotto Baden-Württemberg (Lotto BW), expanding its instant ticket business in Germany.

Through its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, IGT will provide Lotto BW with all aspects of its instant ticketing printing operation, including creating compelling instant games and applying the most advanced and secure printing techniques.

Jay Gendron, Chief Operating Officer at IGT, commented: “The entire German market, and specifically Baden-Württemberg as the third-largest federal state, offers great potential for instant ticket growth.

“IGT’s Instants Advantage programme, coupled with our in-depth analysis capabilities, will deliver customised insights and support Lotto BW’s goal of providing a superior experience for its players and contributing to good causes within the state.”

The deal marks the first business conducted between the two companies as IGT continues to expand its customer base.

IGT’s Instant Advantage programme will also offer its expert marketing services, including game development and analytics, to guide Lotto BW through the strategic portfolio planning process in order to make informed game decisions that will help to increase lottery sales.
