Abacus Solutions International Group has announced an innovation partnership with GK Software, a developer and provider of software for the retail sector.

The Abacus Lottery Fusion Platform enables retailers, lottery, and vendors to work together to allow the game of lottery to be played as seamlessly as possible across all channels of a retailers point of sale solution.

It also simplifies the entire deployment and engagement process by removing a retailers’ need to create integrations with game providers on dedicated terminals.

The Abacus Lottery App is now available as an AppEnablement plug-in to CLOUD4RETAIL OmniPOS, empowering retailers to offer lottery sales at any checkout.

Simon Butler, Abacus CEO, commented: “The partnership with GK and their innovative AppEnablement allows us to offer retailers the Abacus managed lottery services in a simple and effective way, cutting significant effort and time for retailers and allowing them to realise increased sales and a broader, more integrated way of selling lottery to their customers.”

GK Software’s CLOUD4RETAIL is a flexible, open commerce platform catering services for the operation of integrated unified commerce environments from in-store and online touchpoints through to mobile devices.

The platform contains services such as AI-based dynamic pricing, personalisation, fraud detection, and mobile applications. Now available with Azure, SAP Cloud, and IBM, CLOUD4RETAIL’s extensive expansion and customization options of various services can be used on many devices.

Orit Bar-Ad, GK Software Portfolio Director, stated: “We are glad to be able to offer our customers, leading retailers in over 65 countries, such a quick and simple way to introduce lottery, everywhere. Increasing retailers revenue and pleasing their consumers.”

Back in April, Abacus announced a partnership with Playport Gaming Systems designed to supply lotteries and lottery retailers with a digital game purchase-and-win redemption solution that integrates with their existing point-of-sale systems.
