Demirören Holding, a Turkish conglomerate company, has taken over the management of Azerbaijan’s state-owned national lottery Azarlotereya for a period of 10 years.

According to Sözcü newspaper, the agreement was signed at a ceremony on Saturday between Demirören Şans Oyunları Yatırımları AŞ and the Azeri lottery company in Baku.

The company will operate the country’s national lottery, sports competition betting games and lottery games within the next five months for the next decade.

Demirören said: “We will offer jobs to thousands of people in Azerbaijan. I would like to declare that this agreement is our first investment and that we want to make investments in Azerbaijan from now on.”

Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Erkan Özoral, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan State Mül. Ask. Bsk. Vek. Matin Eynullayev also attended the signing ceremony.
