Greek lottery solutions supplier Intralot has reached a binding agreement with Nexus Group in Peru to sell its entire 20% stake in Intralot de Peru SA, an associate of Intralot Group, for a cash consideration of $21m.

However, Intralot also announced it has signed a three-year extension of its current contract with Intralot de Peru through 2024, to continue to provide its gaming technology and support services.

Closing of this transaction is subject to the completion of certain condition precedents, standard for this type of transaction.

The company will follow up with further announcements on the definite shares transfer and possible timing of cash inflow as required by regulation.

Intralot has issued contract extensions across several different markets in the past few months.

At the end of last year, Intralot Australia secured a contract extension with Lotterywest to continue to provide its lottery operating system and services to the state lottery from January 2022 until January 2026 through annual extensions.

Earlier this month, Greek lottery operator OPAP exercised its two-year contract extension option with Intralot for the continued collaboration of the two companies in the field of numerical lotteries and services from August 2021 to July 2023.

This extension allows Intralot to continue providing its lottery solution incorporating the novel core platform ‘LotosX’, which launched with great success in 2019, along with several other components and high-quality services.
