Caixa extends lottery tickets distribution deal

Caixa Econômica Federal has signed a contract extension with Jadlog Logística, which distributes lottery tickets and provides other services for the sector, for another 12-month period.

As BNL Data reported, the company is in charge of providing instant and federal lottery ticket storage and distribution services, as well as any other help that Caixa may need to carry out for lottery operations throughout Brazil.

On June 22, the Official Gazette published that the contract, valid until July 2021, is worth $377k. However, a few days later it rectified the number and said that its value is around $4.7m.

Caixa also ordered a fifth contract extension and renegotiated the value of the contract for the provision of services, which is now worth $132k.

In addition, Caixa extended the contract of broadcasters and draw assistants for the fourth time with the company Evolution Gestão de Serviços, for approximately $26k.

The financial institution from Brazil announced this week that, starting August 10, there will be an increase in the number of multiple bets allowed in Lotofácil draws. SECAP, the gambling regulator, also approved changes to the draws, which are now conducted daily.

Currently, it’s possible to bet on 15 to 18 numbers out of 25 available. This new change will allow people to select up to 20.

“Players who generally place group bets through Bolão Caixa will also be able to increase their odds in Lotofácil,” explained Caixa. “The maximum number of odds will be 100 for each prize.”
