Quanta unveils COO Schuengel

Quanta, the Isle of Man based Blockchain Lottery operator, has officially unveiled the appointment of Frank Schuengel who is set to take up the role of Chief Operating Officer at the organisation’s Nigerian subsidiaries.

Schuengel’s appointment is in line with Quanta’s current focus which is to streamline its business activities and roll out an updated version of its innovative Blockchain Lottery product throughout Africa, starting with Nigeria.

Having begun his career with Isle of Man online gambling entity betinternet almost 20 years ago Schuengel has since held senior positions at major companies including 188BET and Intralot.

Most recently, the new COO founded the first Isle of Man licensed Bitcoin-only Sportsbook and Casino, btb88, and will now lead the charge when it comes to bringing Quanta’s Blockchain Lottery to its Nigerian customers.

Harmen Brenninkmeijer, Quanta CEO, stated: “I am delighted to welcome Frank as our COO. Experienced management will be vital for the success of Quanta. Frank is an e-gaming industry veteran whose global expertise and technical knowledge will benefit the company on its road to commercial success.

“I am confident that his extensive skillset and proven leadership will help us to focus on our goal of delivering value for our clients and shareholders.”

Quanta’s new strategy will see the quick introduction of its newly enhanced product to the market. This will be paired with its significantly improved operational efficiencies en-route to achieving its goal of operational profitability.

Regarding the appointment of Schuengel, the decision was made by Quanta’s board of directors after a thorough analysis and review and follows on from the recent hirings of Deji Enwezor as the Chief Executive Officer of Quanta Nigeria.

Set to support the company’s expansion into the African market, Enwezor joined Quanta from International Lottery & Gaming Ltd where he was CEO, and thus brings with him a wealth of experience from across the gaming, online lottery and sports betting sectors.

Brenninkmeijer concluded: “Our company is continuously growing its footprint in various ways, developing local relationships in Africa that help us to achieve the goal of being a primary entertainment hub of games around having a social impact.”
