In light of the 150th birthday of the state, the Colorado Lottery has launched a series of relevantly themed games to celebrate together with residents.

The first game is the 150th BIRTHDAY! scratch card. Priced at $5, it offers the chance to win top prizes of $150, with additional 5x and 10x multipliers.

In addition to the state’s birthday, the lottery is also celebrating the anniversary of the Colorado Proud programme, which incentivises local farmers and their produce. This is commemorated through the $2 COLORADO CA$H CROP game.

It celebrates five of the crops Colorado is most known for – Pueblo chiles, Olathe sweet corn, Rocky Ford melons, Palisade peaches, and San Luis Valley potatoes.

Colorado Proud was launched by the state’s Department of Agriculture back in 1999 as a free marketing programme to inform consumers, restaurants and retailers about what is being produced in the state and how to identify local agricultural products.

To prolong the festivities, the Colorado Lottery is allowing customers to enter their non-winning $5 scratch card into a second-chance drawing from 4 July-7 September for a chance to win even more prizes – with 150 selected winners receiving an exclusive digital prize catalogue with 25 secret prizes.

Tom Seaver, Colorado Lottery Senior Director, commented: “We are excited to celebrate the birthday of the best state in the nation with these two new games that offer more chances to win, more prizes, and some added birthday fun.

“For over 40 years of our great state’s 150 years, the Colorado Lottery has been celebrating its players with new, exciting games that drive the revenue that makes our state one of the most beautiful and most popular places to visit in the country. Happy Birthday, Colorado!”
