Scientific Games has announced the departure of its Chief Financial Officer, Nick Negro, with an interim already appointed.
Negro will leave the lottery tech provider on 15 May after three years of service, with the company stating that he will be looking for new opportunities in Chicago while moving closer to family.
Since 2023, he has played an instrumental role in Scientific Games’ rapid expansion, not only across the US but also globally, with the company currently supporting 150 lotteries in 50 countries.
While the process of finding a new full-time hire continues, Negro’s place will be taken by Ray Anderson as the interim CFO, already in effect since 4 May.
On the outgoing CFO’s departure, Pat McHugh, Chief Executive Officer for Scientific Games, commented: “Nick has been a strong member of our leadership team and an advocate for the potential of Scientific Games.
“During his time with the company, he significantly strengthened our financial and procurement organisations and helped position Scientific Games for continued growth. We thank Nick for his contributions and wish him all the best.”
Anderson comes in as a substitute with a hefty financial background tied to his career, being a Certified Public Accountant with more than 30 years of experience, working for companies like KPMG across the US, Europe, and Asia.
His most recent stint was as a Global Lead Partner, where he advised Fortune 500 companies on audit, capital markets and regulatory strategy, closely working with boards and executive teams. Before that, he spent six years leading KPMG’s Pacific Southwest audit practice.
Welcoming Anderson as the latest addition to the team, McHugh added: “Ray is a highly respected finance leader with extensive global experience advising large, complex organizations. We are confident in his ability to support the business and our Finance organization during this transition.”
