The New Jersey Lottery has made more adjustments to its product portfolio, including the launch of social media-focused draws, as it looks to better engage its customers.
In its most recent upgrade, the lottery revamped its Collect ‘N Win promotion in a year-long promotion running from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
This will give customers a second chance to win instant cash prizes with a top prize of $5,000 in monthly drawings on offer, while the promotion is available via the lottery’s app
The latter aspect of the promotion, its provision via the lottery app, is noteworthy for showing the growing role of apps, and iLottery in general, in the US.
This comes at a time when courier services, which have become popular for providing a digital bridge between retailers and consumers, continue to enjoy widespread use but also face some regulatory pressure.
The New Jersey Lottery has itself been looking into this prospect, with the lottery making some proposals in June that it believes would make courier operations more efficient while reducing administrative barriers for these firms.
Lottery takes to social media
The promotion came just a week after the lottery announced changes to its scratch-offs, fast play progressives, Facebook Sweepstakes and Instagram Sweepstakes.
The lottery scheduled Facebook Sweepstake draws for 7 and 8 July, with further ones scheduled on 17 July and 28 July. Instagram Sweepstake draws will also take place today (14 July) and on 21 July.
Social media sweepstakes are commonplace in the US, though the practice is heavily regulated in most cases and as a result can only be run by state lotteries. There is a good reason for this, as social media campaigns are often the target of scam activity.
On top of its Facebook and Instagram draws, the lottery also announced that it was launching two new scratch-off games, Cash-4-Ever and $100 Million Diamond Dazzler, and two new fast play progressives, $250 Cash Stack and $500 Cash Stack.
