Scientific Games has secured a new three-year contract extension with La Française des Jeux (FDJ), one of the world’s leading lottery and gaming operators. This agreement strengthens a longstanding partnership that has been in place since 1989, following a competitive tender process led by FDJ.

Over the years, the partnership between Scientific Games and FDJ has driven significant innovations in the lottery space, including the creation of the iDecide product, which merges retail and digital lottery experiences to boost player engagement. The contract extension reaffirms the collaborative success between the two companies and their joint commitment to evolving the lottery industry with sustainable and responsible solutions.

Patrick Buffard, Chief French Lottery and Retail Sportsbetting Business Unit Officer at FDJ, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership. “We are delighted to renew our long-standing relationship, which spans over four decades. Scratch card games are the largest segment in our portfolio, with more than 27 million players. Operating in a sustainable and responsible manner is at the core of what we do, and we are confident that Scientific Games will continue to support our goals and align with FDJ’s historic values.”

Scientific Games was selected for this extension due in part to its leadership in environmentally friendly production methods. The company shares FDJ’s commitment to reducing the lottery industry’s carbon footprint by producing eco-friendly products. This partnership demonstrates both organizations’ dedication to balancing growth with environmental responsibility.

Kevin Anderson, VP of Global Strategic Accounts for EMEA at Scientific Games, added, “We are honored to continue our partnership with FDJ and remain dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable products to the European lottery market.”

As a globally recognized leader in lottery services, Scientific Games holds a dominant position, responsible for more than 70% of global instant game retail sales. The company is also a pioneer in responsible gaming, certified by the World Lottery Association, and actively promotes healthy gaming practices through its award-winning Healthy Play toolkit.

This contract extension underscores the mutual commitment of both companies to innovation, sustainability, and responsible gaming in the lottery sector.
