IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of International Game Technology PLC, has signed a three-year deal with Portugal’s national lottery.
Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) can now use IGT’s instant ticket printing technology and related services, including a portfolio of games, to enhance SCML’s customer experience.
Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Lottery, said: “IGT’s long-standing partnership with SCML and our deep knowledge of the Portuguese market allow us to work closely with the Lottery to provide world-class instant ticket games that meet the local needs of its players.
“We’re excited to bring our diverse and innovative game content to the region, supporting SCML’s ongoing growth.”
IGT has been SCML’s primary lottery technology partner since 2000, supplying retail central system hardware, software, and various field services.
The technology group recently released its Q2 accounts, with revenues matching 2023 levels at $1.05bn.
During this period, IGT’s Global Lottery unit recorded a 2% decrease in revenues to $613m (Q2 2023: $624m), as last year’s Q2 lottery results included a multi-year software licence sale.
The Gaming & Digital unit maintained its revenues at $436m, supported by increased IP and software sales.
Q2 operating income fell by 8% to $230m, with $26m in costs related to separation and divestiture included in the group’s accounts.
