Lotto Bremen takes leadership of DLTB

Lotto Bremen has been elected as the new representative body of the DLTB, the association of Lotteries and Toto for Federal Germany.

Starting 1 January 2025, Lotto Bremen will take over from Lotto Niedersachsen as the chief representative of the Federführung im Deutschen Lotto- und Totoblock (DLTB).

As a subsidiary of Lotto GmbH, Lotto Bremen operates the lotto and tote for the Bundesland of Bremen, Germany’s smallest federal state.

The managing directors of Germany’s 16 state lottery companies have unanimously chosen Lotto Bremen as the new leader of the DLTB.

The DLTB is responsible for representing the interests and developments of Germany’s 16 state lotteries to the Bundestag (federal government) and fostering cooperation between states in running lotteries and their social initiatives.

Lotto Bremen’s Managing Director, Michael Barth, is eager to take on this responsibility, using the experience he has gained to help preserve Germany’s state lottery monopoly.

The German lottery association confirmed that as the leading company, Lotto Bremen will be the voice of the German Lotto and Toto Association from early 2025 until the end of 2026.

In 2025, Glücksspiel (GGL), the Federal Authority of German Gambling, will publish its recommendations for new laws and protections on gambling advertising, as part of its ongoing federal review of Germany’s Fourth Interstate Gambling Treaty (GlüNeuRStv).

Recently, the GGL appointed Reiner Moser, a Minister from the Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg, as the new Chairman, replacing Baden-Württemberg Minister Udo Götze.
