NeoGames has set a new record with the release of The Lamp – its einstant game which has become the Virginia Lottery’s most profitable game ever after 30 days.
Launched in January, sales have already exceeded $40m – a 200%-plus climb on the nearest competitor in second place.
The release features a genie theme, appealing to fans of the Match 3 games via a progressive jackpot feature that paid out approximately $500,000 during the initial launch period.
Kelly Gee, Executive Director of the Virginia Lottery, commented: “We launched our first progressive jackpot game two years ago and these have really resonated with our players.
“The Lamp’s success has been particularly impressive and quickly became our best-performing einstant.”
A creation of NeoGames Studio, The Lamp has also been ‘successfully launched’ with two other customers in North America under the name of Desert Fantasy (Play Alberta) and Magic Money Ride (Michigan Lottery).
NeoGames is now hoping to capitalise on its worldwide appeal by expanding the game to other countries across the globe.
