The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has been named as one of Canada’s ‘Best Employers’ for the second year in a row.

Compiled by Forbes and Statista, the award honours 300 companies each year, with OLG bettering last year’s position of 53rd to finish 41st and in the top 15% in 2023.

Significantly, the achievement places the organisation second within the gaming industry.

“It is an honour to again be recognised on Forbes’ list of top employers in Canada and to know that so many of our employees would recommend OLG as a great place to work,” said Duncan Hannay, President and CEO.

“OLG is an employer of choice, and I am proud to work alongside all OLGers as we transform gaming entertainment in Ontario and make a difference for people throughout the province.”

The Forbes award is selected through an independent survey of employees working for companies with over 500 employees in Canada. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family.

“This recognition means so much because it is completely employee driven and shows how proud OLGers are of the work we do together,” added Esther Zdolec, VP of People and Culture.

“Our employees are committed to doing good for Ontario and playing as one team. They support and value their colleagues and celebrate different perspectives and backgrounds. OLG could not do the good we do without the tremendous dedication of our employees.”
