Jackpocket has been named as one of Built In’s ‘Best Places To Work In 2023’, the second year in a row the firm has been recognised for its efforts in the field.
The third-party lottery app first received the honour at the beginning of 2022 for its New York headquarters and has retained its status a year later, this time adding its West Coast office in Santa Barbara to the list.
The offices received placements on four lists: New York City Best Places to Work, Los Angeles Best Places to Work, New York City Best Midsize Places to Work and Los Angeles Best Midsize Places to Work.
“It’s my honour to congratulate Jackpocket as one of this year’s Best Places to Work winners,” said Sheridan Orr, Chief Marketing Officer for Built In. “All of these exemplary companies understand that people are their most valuable asset, and they’ve stepped up to meet the modern professional’s new expectations, including the desire to work for companies that deliver purpose, growth, and inclusion.
“This year’s winners set the stage for a human-centred future of work, and we can’t wait to see that future unfold.”
Built In determines the winners of Best Places to Work based on a special algorithm, using company data about compensation and benefits. The programme also weighs criteria like remote work and flexible work opportunities, programs for DEI and other people-first cultural offerings.
The honour bestowed upon Jackpocket follows a year of expansion across the US states; by the end of last year, the company was operational in 14 states, adding the likes of West Virginia and Idaho to its portfolio.
Earlier this month, the firm continued its expansion plans by launching in its 15th state, Texas, in collaboration with the retailer Circle K.
“This incredible honour caps off yet another year of major growth for Jackpocket,” added Peter Sullivan, Founder and CEO. “We’re thrilled to be recognised for the collaborative culture we’ve built that makes it all possible.
“As we continue to grow and expand our presence, we are ensuring that our company’s unique culture, built on transparency, respect and innovation, keeps supporting our dedicated team and serves as an example for others too.”
