The Texas Lottery is anticipating the release of its five new ‘Cash Blitz’ scratch ticket games will generate “much-needed” revenue for the state.

Launched on January 2, the five games in the family range in price from $1 to $20 and combine for more than $463.5m in total cash prizes, including top prizes ranging from $5,000 to $1m.

The lottery’s belief is that the games will prove popular and help the organisation to build on its record-breaking sales of $8.3bn in FY2022, which resulted in a record contribution of around $2bn for Texas education and veterans.

“The Texas Lottery is ringing in the new year with the launch of the new Cash Blitz scratch ticket family,” said Gary Grief, Executive Director of the Texas Lottery. “All five multiplier-style scratch ticket games offer great cash prizes and allow players to enter their non-winning tickets into second-chance promotional drawings for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime VIP trip to an iHeartRadio event or concert of their choice, or a chance to participate in the $10m Cash Blitz Challenge.

“We believe the Cash Blitz family and its prizes will be highly entertaining for our players and will generate much-needed revenue for public education in Texas.”

The five games and their price point are; 200x Cash Blitz ($20), 100x Cash Blitz ($10), 50x Cash Blitz ($5), 30x Cash Blitz Crossword ($3) and 20x Cash Blitz ($1).

This latest scratch ticket release follows its new game released last November in support of the state’s veterans.
