The UK National Lottery has stepped up preparations for Open Week 2023 with the appointment of communication consultants Lansons.

As reported by PR Week, the agency has been tasked with promoting the National Lottery’s annual Open Week in 2023, which takes place between March 18-26.

National Lottery Open Week acts as an opportunity for National Lottery funded projects to express gratitude to players.

Anyone who visits a National Lottery supported project and shows a ticket, instant win game, or scratchcard (physical or digital) between the aforementioned dates will be able to take up a special offer.

These special offers include free entry into popular UK museums and heritage sites, as well as behind the scenes tours of world class sporting venues.

Gordon Tempest-Hay, CEO of Lansons, commented: “The win is testimony of Lansons’ insight-led approach and creative thinking.”

He added that Lansons is keen “to support a growing number of public sector organisations in their endeavours to raise awareness for the work they do for the British public”.

“We’ve worked with many treasured British brands and institutions – this is a natural extension of that.”

The account will be led by Sam Sharpe, who joined Lansons as a Director in July 2021.

Lansons will also promote the Open Week in 2024, coinciding with the lottery’s 30th anniversary.
