International Game Technology (IGT) has inked a deal to install 960 of its Cobalt 27 video lottery terminals (VLT) to Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (MBLL).

Marking the VLTs Canadian debut, the Cobalt 27 has been designed to ‘fit operators’ needs’ via its two HD 27” screens, an optional 24” topper, integrated cabinet lighting and a static five-button player panel.

“IGT’s Cobalt VLT has gained positive momentum across the US, Latin America and Europe, and we are very excited to build on that success in Manitoba,” commented David Flinn, IGT SVP for Canada, South and Central America.

“The Cobalt VLTs will feature market-attuned content, including the highly successful commercial game Temple of Fire Cash Eruption that has been specially adapted for VLT operators. These solutions allow MBLL to modernise its VLT gaming with best-in-class hardware and entertain players with engaging themes.”

Following the deal, players in Manitoba will be able to access IGT titles such as Temple of Fire Cash Eruption, Big City 5’s, Five Times Pay, Power Keno and Double Double Bonus Poker.
IGT has secured numerous deals across its global lottery division in recent months. This week the Corporation confirmed a 10-year extension to its Kansas Lottery contract, ensuring it bolsters the lottery’s electronic gaming central system for a further decade.
