Carrus Gaming has been selected to supply Lotto Bayern with over 4,000 units of lottery technology, signalling its entry into the German market.

The French lottery technology provider was selected by the German lottery to implement new systems to streamline the lottery retail process, with quicker documentation and new ways to create innovative designs for special events.

Developed in partnership with French lottery operator, La Française des Jeux (FDJ), 4,000 of Carrus’ ELITE-S terminals and 300 of its ELITE-SC compact units will be installed in Lotto Bayern outlets across Germany.

Installation of the terminals is expected to take place in the second half of 2022 with the aim to streamline the lottery experience for customers, with instant tickets expected to be available more freely.

CEO of Groupe Carrus, Timothée Carrus, commented: “We are proud to extend our presence in Germany through this new project with Lotto Bayern, one of the largest German gambling operators to select our solutions. We are pleased to see that our R&D investments in camera-based lottery terminals are setting the new market standard.”
