The Tennessee Education Lottery (TEL) has declared that instant game revenues for April were the highest for any month since its inception thanks to a record-breaking week and a near record-breaking day during the period.

The Volunteer State lottery reported that April’s instant game revenues totalled $176.4m, breaking the previous monthly record of $171.4m set in March 2021.

The turnover achieved in April keeps the momentum going for the lottery from the third quarter (January-March) when it raised a record-shattering $140.3m for designated education programs in Tennessee, including $132,883,000 for the Lottery for Education Account.

The TEL made history in the week ending April 10, setting the record of $47,104,415 for instant game revenues in a single week, which included instant game revenues of $10,151,891 on April 6 alone, the second-highest single day total after its opening day on January 20, 2004.

Back in March, Scientific Games Corporation agreed to a five-year extension to its instant games and services contract with the TEL. Through the partnership, it will continue to provide the lottery with game design and game-planning services, analytics and insights, manufacturing, advanced logistics, warehousing and distribution as well as retail services.
