Playtech Sports, a provider of omnichannel sports betting solutions, and its high performing in-house virtual sports portfolio, has gone live with Danske Spil.
Under the deal, Denmark’s national lottery and WLA member has integrated Playtech’s content across its online platform.
Offering unique, simulation-based odds for virtual products, enabling players to study form and results, Danske Spil has selected eight of the provider’s leading titles across football, basketball, tennis, greyhound racing, horse racing, speedway, cycling and trotting.
The provider’s virtual games were created after a year-long process of advanced motion capture filming in the UK. Playtech Sports has established itself as a strong revenue and engagement driver for 2021.
Delivered with a custom developed platform and a bespoke 24/7 betting schedule, Playtech Sports has fully tailored its product to suit the operator’s brand, providing an armoury of betting opportunities and content for the year ahead.
Already launched across GVC, OPAP and MansionBet’s online networks in 2020, Richard Andrew, Director of Virtual Sports at Playtech Sports, sees this latest partnership as a testament to a successful year for the product.
Andrew said: “We’ve seen player engagement for our virtual sports outmatch even our most optimistic expectations in recent months, and we’re delighted to announce that Danske Spil has launched our innovative virtual sports portfolio.
“We’re thrilled to offer the industry’s most exciting simulation of live sports available with our latest collaboration. Danske Spil have customised the product specifically for their Danish players and we have no doubt it will prove to be a strong revenue driver and a firm player favourite.”
Pernille Mehl, CEO at Danske Lotteri Spil A/S, added: “We are pleased to launch a new product vertical in our product portfolio. It is a different product than the classic lottery, which hopefully can attract new customers to our business.”
