The Dominican Republic debuted this week a new lottery, La Suerte Dominicana, which will be held daily at 12:30 pm and will be broadcast on two local channels.

José Melchor González, founding partner of La Suerte, assured that “all draws will be verified and certified by the Ministry of Finance, the national lottery and a firm of external auditors and a Notary Public.”

Gonzáles said that Quiniela, Palé and Tripleta draws will be conducted by the Cibao Association of the Blind and will be carried out manually. Currently, Lotería Nacional draws are carried out electronically.

In addition, he revealed that the goal is to offer other modalities, like Lotto, which they expect will be available along with La Suerte in official points of sale and through authorized vendors.

The founding partners announced the debut of the lottery in a meeting with local media, and assured that La Suerte Dominicana will generate more than 12 thousand jobs and will contribute with new taxes for the state.

The national lottery resumed its Bancas de Lotería, Lotería Electrónica, Billetes and Quinielas draws on June 3, in the second phase of the economic reopening. At the end of July, it also established a new schedule to sell lottery tickets: from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, and on Saturday and Sundays from 7 am to 4 pm.
