Lottery administrators in Spain join self-employed workers association

The Independent Platform of Lottery Administrators (PIDAL) of Spain has signed an agreement to be part of the National Federation of Self-Employed Workers Associations (ATA).

The 4,200 administrators are now part of the self-employed group represented by ATA and will jointly carry out activities in defense of lottery administrators.

Lorenzo Amor, president of ATA, said that this is an important agreement since they all “defend the interests of a group that contributes almost €3bn to the State each year and that generates more than 12,000 jobs.” And he added: “Defending their rights is a priority.”

“This agreement represents a great achievement for the group of lottery administrators, now we have the great responsibility between ATA and PIDAL to work in favor of this group of more than 4,000 self-employed and to optimize the results that the State obtains through the work and education from us,” said Paloma Marco, president of PIDAL.

ATA detailed in a statement that PIDAL will receive specialized advice and support from the federation. “Mutual and constant collaboration should make us grow. That’s the only way in which we can achieve new results in favor of lottery administrators and more rights for this group.”

In addition, Marco questioned SELAE’s management and said: “ATA’s support will be essential to bring this issue to the Ministry, such disturbing aspects as unfair competition, the management inefficiency of the public entity SELAE, which undermines our income and the State’s.”
