The Colorado Lottery has reported strong unaudited FY26 (October-September) results driven by record Scratch game sales.

Leadership expects around $888m in total revenue and a record Scratch sales performance of more than $613m in sales, supplemented by a 20% YoY increase in Jackpot sales to over $274m.

The year saw more than $2.7m in funding being put towards the Outdoor Equity Grant Program in support of non-profits and local governments. Around $88m was also used to reach the cap of the Great Outdoors Colorado – a statewide initiative that invests 50% of Lottery proceeds back into nature preservation.

Around 40% of proceeds funding will go to the Conservation Trust Fund, amounting to over $72m. Meanwhile, Colorado Parks and Wildlife will receive around $18m thanks to the lottery’s performance in the financial year.

Major developments in FY26 saw around 130 new retail shops being added to the Colorado Lottery partnership network, and the transition to a new gaming system.

Lottery retailers reportedly received more than $64m as a result of their product sales performance during the financial year.

Tom Seaver, Senior Director of the Colorado Lottery, added: “The Lottery is modernizing its operations and refreshing its game offerings to continue to grow its revenue to support Colorado’s amazing outdoor spaces.

“We are adding more retailers than ever to our roster and believe these changes will allow us to support our proceeds partners well into the future. As we grow our Lottery and expand our proceeds partners, we are also progressing our player health program as well.”

Moving on into the new year, the Colorado Lottery is set to stand in an even better financial position given that it was recently allowed to go ahead with a major digital expansion, to be spearheaded by lotto tech supplier Pollard Banknote.
