The Italian Lottery is having a big month, with the renewal of its B2B contract followed up by a launch on bet365, one of the world’s biggest betting apps.
Bet365 announced today that the Lotteria Italia 2025 has been made available on its platform, including the lottery’s €5m Grand Prize available during the final draw.
Customers need to register with bet365 in order to buy a ticket, and a minimum of one ticket purchased by 8am local time on 5 January 2026, while a unique 10-digit code needs to be registered on the Lotteria Italia website by 14 December 2025.
Winning tickets need to be verified via the ‘Verficia Cincite’ mobile app and need to be claimed within 180 days of the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) publishing the lottery results, the ADM being the regulator of Italian gaming.
The announcement comes a week after the Italian Lottery renewed its deal with LottoItalia, a consortium of four companies which jointly manage the lotto tender – these being Brightstar Lottery (formerly IGT, which leads the contract) alongside Allwyn, Novomatic Italia and Ariana 2001.
Meanwhile, the Italian betting market is entering a new era. The ADM launched a new market earlier this month, with 46 companies holding licences for 52 different betting and gaming platforms.
Bet365 is one of these 46 companies. Launching the Italian lottery on its platform will likely help the company further tailor its local offer to Italian audiences in a highly competitive market, one which also comes with considerable marketing restrictions.
The launch also shows a continuation of bet365’s involvement in the lottery space, While the firm is chiefly a betting and gaming operator, it has also been historically involved in the lottery space, having partnered with the likes of SIS to leverage lotto solutions.
“Lotto is a key product for many bettors within the bet365 group, and we’ve been delighted with the performance of Lotto365 since launch,” the company stated following the SIS deal, in which the firm began leveraging its Lotto365 product.
