
In Q4 2024, Svenska Spel generated SEK 2,125m (€185m) in group revenues, matching the previous year’s performance. The company achieved an operating profit of SEK 535M (€47m), a 10% increase from 2023, reflecting cost efficiency and a growing digital segment.
Svenska Spel closed 2024 on a high note, marking a year of positive transformation for Sweden’s state-owned gaming company. Despite significant industry disruptions as the Sweden government ordered the monopoly to close is Casino Cosmopol venues from H1 onwards.
The Tur division, led by Triss (scratch cards) and TUR (lotto draw) jackpots, continued to thrive, engaging customers and boosting revenue. Enhanced mobile features for Triss and an SEK 210M jackpot payout fueled player excitement.
Svenska Spel remained dedicated to community impact, contributing SEK 35m to the Gräsroten programme, which supports Swedish youth and amateur sports. The company also strengthened its responsible gaming measures, ensuring a safe and sustainable gaming experience.
For 2024, Svenska Spel reported net gaming revenue of SEK 7,737m, with increased online engagement driving positive results. Despite adjustments in the casino business, the company optimised operations while maintaining strong customer support.
The closure of two Casino Cosmopol venues was part of a strategic realignment, enabling Svenska Spel to focus on future growth areas. Digital transformation efforts paid off, with online gaming revenue rising to 59% of total revenue.
With a strong foundation, Svenska Spel is well-positioned for 2025, focusing on expanding its market share. A key priority will be the new Oddset sportsbook platform, developed with Kambi Group Plc, aiming to elevate the sports betting experience.
