Announced at its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, ZEAL Network SE has confirmed a dividend distribution of €47m for the fiscal year 2021.

Held in Hamburg, the German lottery provider’s 2022 meeting also saw a number of resolutions proposed by the management which were subsequently adopted by a large majority.

Items passed included the ratification of the actions of the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board, the appointment of the auditor, and a resolution on the appropriation of net income.

ZEAL’s ‘positive liquidity situation’ and the expected further increase in profitability resulted in the board proposing a total distribution of €47m, which corresponds to a basic dividend of €1 per share and a special dividend of €1.10 per share. In 2020, this figure was €0.9 per share.

The company published its full-year accounts for FY2021 in March, revealing its cost-cutting measures had offset ‘weak’ conditions and enabled the group to improve profitability.

“We are more than satisfied with the outcome of our Annual General Meeting, as all re-elected shareholder representatives are extremely familiar with ZEAL”, said CEO Helmut Becker.

“This will enable us to seamlessly continue the very constructive collaboration of recent years”.

ZEAL also reported that a resolution on an authorisation to acquire and use treasury shares was also adopted by a large majority.
