Sports betting platform Betsul has partnered with the Latin America- focused online gaming firm Vibra Gaming to launch a new lottery product, Scratch-a-Lot, in Brazil.

Built upon the lottery games created by the Brazilian federal government and transferred to the private sector in 2019, Scratch-a-Lot seeks to make scratch-off tickets more interactive.

Ramiro Atucha, CEO of Vibra Gaming, commented: “After an extensive period of market research and product development, we were privileged to be able to cooperate with one of our main customers, Betsul, and bring a unique product to the lottery market. We are confident this launch will not only be different from anything we have ever done, but also potentially the most successful in our history.”

Scratch-a-Lot, the developers state, is a new game to ‘revolutionize’ instant gaming in the lottery industry, utilising new technologies to create a more interactive experience.

Karen Sierra-Hughes, Vice President Latin America & Caribbean at GLI, added: “We take great pride in working with the Vibra Gaming team for several years, and we admire their creativity, professionalism, and dedication.

“We celebrate that a Latin American company, such as Vibra Gaming, is thriving with continuous new developments. In this case, supporting our lottery industry that is aiming to modernise their operations to generate more revenue for social causes.

“This is precisely one of the purposes of the GLI Standards; to promote innovation while maintaining the integrity, security and fairness of the game.”

In partnership with GLI, an internationally recognised game certification laboratory, Vibra Gaming achieved GLI 14 standard certification to produce instant lottery and scratch ticket games.

Vibra confirmed that all the technology developed fits within the international standard for instant lottery certification GLI 14.

Atucha concluded: “Lotteries in Brazil, and around the world, have needed to reinvent themselves for a long time. The regulatory period Brazil is undergoing is unique, both at federal and state levels and there could not be a better time to bring a product to market with the potential this has.

“We hope the instant Scratch-a-Lot lottery will be operated in Brazil with best practice, and that, as a public service (of lotteries), this innovative product will provide the state with funds it can invest in the social sector, as set out in the Federal Constitution of the country and for the good of the Brazilian population”.
