Dominican Republic’s national lottery to focus on spending cuts

The Lotería Nacional from the Dominican Republic has named Luis Maisichell Dicent as its new director, appointed by decree 388-20 and replacing Miguel Mercedes Valdez. One of the goals of this new administration will be to reduce public spending and improve transparency.

The formal ceremony took place at the lottery headquarters, where the new administrator vowed to work with transparency, honesty, equity and efficiency, as reported by local outlet El Dia.

Maisichell Dicent aims to strengthen the lottery’s core values: to work as a service entity to benefit the public.

The new administrator explained that this new era will be framed within a policy of transparency and spending cuts, following the pillars of Dominican Republic’s current President Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona.

After the ceremony and a private meeting between Mercedes Valdez and the new director, where they discussed the national lottery’s future, the executives visited all departments that will be led by Maisichell Dicent.

Earlier this week, local company LOTEDOM unveiled its six new lottery products that will be held and broadcast every day on local channel Teleantillas. Quiniela, palé, tripleta LOTEDOM, El Quemaito Mayor, Super Palé LOTEDOM and Agarra 4 draws have help the company become one of the largest distribution and gaming networks in the country.

In addition, local authorities also presented La Suerte Dominicana in the first week of August, aiming to expand other modalities in the next few months. As a LOTEDOM product, this new lottery is held daily at 12:30 pm.
