Intralot extends long-term Vermont Lottery partnership

Athens-based gaming and lottery supplier Intralot has announced the signing of a contract extension between itself and the Vermont Lottery that will see it continue to supply its lottery and gaming systems to the US-based operator.

As reported by GamingIntelligence, the deal will see Intralot, through its US subsidiary, continue supplying its LOTOS central system, Photon terminals and Winstations to the lottery, whose proceeds help contribute to the Vermont Education Fund.

Intralot group CEO Chris Dimitriadis, stated in the article: “Vermont Lottery has a great history and track record in contributing funds for good causes. I would like to thank the Vermont Lottery for its continued trust to Intralot and I am looking forward to seeing our US subsidiary, Intralot Inc, adding even greater value by using our technology as an enabler.”

The extension builds on the long-term partnership between both organisations that was initiated back in 2010 with an initial six-year contract. Since then, Intralot has continued supplying the lottery with its services following the signing of two two-year extensions prior to this latest re-negotiation.

Intralot Inc CEO Byron Boothe was also quoted, saying: “Through this contract amendment, Intralot will provide the Vermont Lottery and its operations with exciting entertainment options. We look forward to continue working together with the Lottery to maximize sales growth and ensure increased returns in a socially responsible way for the State and its citizens.”

The announcement is the latest contract signing involving Intralot, building on the group’s recent partnership alliance with live casino solutions provider Evolution Gaming that will see the operator’s entire global market portfolio provided with Live Casino services.

With a well-established presence in 44 regulated jurisdictions worldwide, the deal will see Intralot leverage the strategic partnership to accelerate digital transformation for gaming operators and offer a responsible gaming entertainment for players.

At the time, Nikos Nikolakopoulos, Executive VP, Group CCO at INTRALOT, commented: “We have always been committed to building a robust set of strategic partners to deliver an outstanding experience to our customers. Evolution Gaming is a trusted member of our third-party ecosystem and we are looking forward to rolling out this partnership on many online markets worldwide.”
