FDJ announces ‘Universal Registration Document’ release

France’s leading gaming and national lottery operator, La Française des Jeux (FDJ), has announced the release of its 2019 Universal Registration Document (URD) following its registration under number R.20-005 by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) earlier this week.

Currently available to be viewed and downloaded in the Investors section of the FDJ website and on the AMF website, the document is also set to be made available physically on request at FDJ’s registered office following the loosening of ongoing COVID restrictions.

In addition to the release of the URD, FDJ also announced that in view of the ongoing health crisis, its previously published outlooks and objectives for 2020-2025 have now been suspended as well as postponing the implementation of a long-term incentive plan for senior executives until 2021.

That said, and subject to approval by the Annual General Meeting, FDJ did confirm that it is targeting a payout ratio of 80% of its consolidated net income for the financial years 2020-2025.

Due to the ongoing effects being felt as a result of the continued COVID-19 health crisis, Stéphane Pallez, Chairwoman and CEO of FDJ, and Charles Lantieri, Deputy CEO, have both proposed to reduce their fixed annual compensation by one month.

The gesture is in line with an initiative undertaken by FDJ employees to donate over 1,400 days of leave to the ‘Tous unis contre le virus’ alliance and other charities supported by the FDJ Corporate Foundation.

The FDJ operates France’s national lottery which is registered as the number two lottery in Europe and fourth worldwide. In addition to lottery it offers secure, enjoyable and responsible gaming to the general public in the form sports betting which is available from physical outlets and online.
