Brightstar Lottery PLC has secured an eight-year contract with the Wisconsin Lottery for the provision of its OMNIA lottery solution.
Signed through the former’s subsidiary, Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation, the deal holds an eight-year extension clause, in addition to four other one-year options.
OMNIA is a tool that is tailored to optimise the lottery offering across both retail and digital channels, streamlining operations and delivering an enhanced player experience.
Cindy Polzin, Wisconsin Lottery Director, commented: “The Wisconsin Lottery looks forward to working with Brightstar to help us continuously evolve our lottery solutions to maximise player engagement with this new contract.”
Besides the OMNIA tool, Brightstar will also roll out brand new retailer equipment across the Wisconsin Lottery’s designated sale points. This equipment includes the Retailer Pro S2 terminals and the GameFlex 48 self-service vending machines.
Also complemented by the GameTouch 20 and the GameTouch Draw S2 self-service vending options, together with the handheld Retailer to Go terminal, these solutions will help drive player engagement for the lottery through increased versatility and enhanced convenience – all boosted by Brightstar’s high performance and integrity-focused centralised system.
Scott Gunn, Brightstar Chief Operating Officer North America Lottery, added: “Working in collaboration with the Wisconsin Lottery, Brightstar has developed a deep understanding of the growth-driving products and solutions the Lottery needs to fuel and support its business goals.
“Since our partnership began in 1988, we have supported the Wisconsin Lottery in generating more than $20bn in revenue, the majority of which has gone back to winners, retailers and Wisconsin homeowners.
“We are excited to deliver our latest technology solutions, backed by our high-performing and reliable system, that will continue to responsibly propel lottery sales and entertain players.”
Brightstar has started the year strong so far by steadily increasing its footprint in the North American lottery market, most recently inking a deal with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) – by far the largest lottery market in Canada worth $4.47bn.
